Henry Morton is an accredited musician, performer, and teacher with a background in both musical theatre and classical voice. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Applied Voice at the University of Oregon studying under two-time GRAMMY®-nominee, Craig Phillips and is currently at Arizona State University receiving his Masters of Music in Vocal Performance for Musical Theatre under Dr. Stephanie Weiss. Henry has had the opportunity to perform on stages across the nation in such roles as Chip Tolentino and Vice Principal Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Henrik in A Little Night Music with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival on the Big Island of Hawaii. Regional credits: *Ensemble, Robertson Ay U/S in Mary Poppins (The Phoenix Theatre Company). Select credits: Ernst in Spring Awakening, Aaron Fox on Curtains, Swing in Songs For A New World, and La Rainette in L'enfant est les Sortilege (Arizona State University); Frankenstein in Frankenstein: Playing With Fire (University of Oregon); Georg Nowack in She Loves Me, Jack Kelly in Newsies (The Non-Stop Players). Henry sang with the University of Oregon’s internationally award-winning Chamber Choir for three years and holds the global title alongside the Choir as two-time world champions at Auckland New Zealand’s 2024 World Choir Games under the direction of Sharon Paul. He worked on Arizona MusicFest's The Drop That Contained The Sea by Christopher Tin as the tenor section lead in 2026 and performed with the Oregon Bach Festival's University Chorus during their 2023 and 2024 seasons. Henry received the award for Outstanding Undergraduate Performance in the Area of Voice from the University of Oregon in 2025 and was awarded the title of National Semi-Finalist in 2021 as well as National Preliminary Finalist in 2022 for the National Association of Teachers of Singing Musical Theater competition. He runs an active hybrid online and in-person voice studio in which he teaches students of all ages, emphasizing vocal health, diverse repertoire selection, and the art of acting through song.
